Our forum rules forbid any political discussion. Everyone should know this.

We presently have four threads that are political in nature;

I've made all these threads a sticky on the members club room.

These threads shall remain open.

NO NEW POLITICAL threads will be allowed. Period. And do not ask myself or any other mod about opening a thread that is political in nature.

Gents when quoting post with photos re-post no more that three of the photos..preferably re-post only one photo.

Why? There are members with slower connection speeds that find those pages time-consuming to load.

Amendment to the rules;

Gentlemen.. From henceforth the discussion of Nuclear war between China and any other nation is forbidden. Your post on this subject will be deleted. The discussion of nuclear war always leads down the same path with the same discussion & arguments. It is useless..

Jeff Head stated it best.

We have discussed this particular issue numerous times in the past her on SD. It always comes down to the same thing.

Any use of a nuclear weapon against a US carrier battle group would invite a massive retaliation in kind.

That would play to an absolute strength the US military has and is not something China would contemplate unless they were ready to go to a full nuclear exchange...which would be madness.

No need to continue a discussion of the use of nuclear weapons as a realistic strategy to fight a carrier group.

If you so desire to discuss China's nuclear arms use the thread posted below. Discuss the nuclear armament, amount, stockpile etc.., and not the use there of.

I need to clarify my remark in the US Military news thread. I really do not like posting political discussion but this time I need to clarify my remarks where as I've received several PMs on this subject.

People are constantly posting out and out lies about Obama. Simply because they do not agree with his liberal agenda or in many cases because he's a black man.

I do not agree with his policies. He's horrible for the US Military & US foriegn policy and his liberal agenda was never intended by the founders of the US. And I did not vote for him either time he ran for president.

That being stated read these falsehood posted on line about Pres. Obama.

Many are posted by those that just hate Pres. Obama for one reason or another.

As for myself....I strongly disagree with his political agenda. Most strongly.

He's not a man of God. He's a consummate liar. His decision making ability is abysmal. Hopefully through the upcoming midterm elections we can stymie his liberal agenda. That's where I stand.

This is my stand on Obama. I do not wish to discuss this. Please do not PM me on this subject.

Our SDF forum is a private entity and we can set the rules as we see fit. And one of them is no politics.

It is my experience in over nine years in this forum that political discussion just brings out the worst in our fine well intentioned members.
