Guancha guys are going over the events of last year right now, they said some of the AVIC folks doing maintenance in Pakistan at the time were ladies and the pilots nicknamed them "Valkyries".

Yankee also said that meme that you often hear online of Chinese export missile manual saying "do not remove the ballast module or else the missile will violate MTCR 300km range limit" is real, he has personally seen this line at air shows. And he was using it to illustrate the fact that the advertised 145km range for PL-15E is a very conservative figure.

Hmmm Shilao and Yankee has a good point though, is there much response out of Russia from Su-30MKI and MiG-29 getting taken out by J-10CE?

I remember last year this time I raised the same question and everyone here on this thread was like "well yeah that's expected result after seeing things in Ukraine."|

Well China has been flying J-10A/B/C, J-11B, early J-16 against Su-30MKK, J-11A (Russia Su-27SK kits) and Su-35 for a long time and have pretty much been publicly saying since the mid 2010s that the Russian fighters are less capable than the domestic ones. For the Su-35, since the late 2010s basically as soon as PLAAF flew the Su-35 they stated that it wouldn't do well at all against even the first block J-16 because air combat isn't just pulling Russian style airshow movements however impressive those moves are.

Against Su-30MKI and outdated Mig-29? Yeah I think J-10CE with PL-15E will do very well. It's no surprise to Russia (especially to Russia since they've trained with PLAAF multiple times). Su-35 is far superior to Su-30MKI which hasn't seen an upgrade. Even JF-17 block 3 with PL-15E would fair well against these fighters. The only challenge from IAF is in the form of Rafale and the J-10CE soundly handles it. It just takes one piece of superior equipment/tech to defeat something that is otherwise 1.5x "better" if you will.

The Rafale can have nicer build, more advanced skin, better sensor fusion overall in 99% of components but the J-10CE has one piece of tech that defeats all the Rafale's advantages and it's game on. They're both 4.5 gens but the J-10 is a slightly smaller/lighter fighter.

Here is some confirmation that India is looking for another round,
We will hit everything. He spoke about depths; we will go after everything. I think that's been made clear in the new normal that the Prime Minister stated last year.

And,
That's why a year hence we are all sitting in front of you, just to give you a sense and an assurance that what we learnt last year has been well imbibed and we are on a path...
Lesson learned: always check the sources on Wikipedia.
