Man... seeing the those figures made me pretty proud of what we have done in little singapore.
Singapore being an island (49km from East to West and 25km from North to South) plus it was not in a rectangular shape rather a diamond shape thus you don't actually get as much land area, we still manage to cramp in 5.312 million population (2012 guesstimate) with an ultimate aim of 6million in 2020.... and still had enough empty spaces for large industries, free spaces for military training, parks and the stuff. And there are heaps of greeneries all around.
And have I mentioned? We have one of the most efficient public transport system in the world (if it don't break down )... well... being small helps, thus I reckon it is not really that amazing a feat to build a good infrastructure especially when you are so tiny.
