What’s up with these articles lately? Like 5 David Axe articles in one week? One quoting @Denio no less (who doesn’t like war topics).

Lockheed Martin/Raytheon/DPP funded right wing think tanks trying to push Biden into more sales?

The Trump administration wasn't short on imagination when it comes to the issues like China or Iran. But unlike its predecessor, this administration is turning its attention back to the middle east and especially to Syria, sending telegrams to SDF and such. That's probably what worries the military-industrial complex the most since there is so little to sell over the matter of Syria and note that there are now prominent people in the office who considers dialogue should prevail over the policies of China and Iran.

Honestly, one should be prudent to read the intentions of a recently inaugurated cabinet over demanding foreign policy issues. It's been only 10 days and anything a state sec. says at this point, should be taken with a grain of salt.

More likely that CIA handlers started making calls to their puppets in the media to start spamming China-threat and any other anti-China articles, so they went digging in their trash bins and fished out old David Axe pieces previously rejected for being pure shite.

Lots of Taiwan war speculation in the western media recently. DPP is talking about amending the constitution to remove Current national emblem and other changes. Which is the preferred way to Taiwan independence for DPP. Since they claim that Taiwan is already independent. So, for them the issue is about changing the current constitutional structure of Taiwan to make it a "normal country". They are slowing moving towards that goal with changing the ROC passport to Taiwan passport recently. They are renaming various unofficial Taiwan rep offices from Taipei Economic office and such names to Taiwan office, a defacto embassy.

With the US so agitated about China lately, I feel like a big crisis over Taiwan is coming in the few years. DPP is getting more and more confident about US and western support for a Taiwan war. Taiwan Independence and anti-China sentiment in Taiwan is also at a fever pitch. US is also so worried about the rise of China. They will support Taiwan heavily just to respond to China's rise in other areas. With this kind of support, DPP will certainly move towards changing the constitution and law that will get rid of ROC structure and remove unification related clauses.

China will then be forced to do something big militarily. Even if they don't go for a full invasion. They may be forced to either bomb Taiwan or fly over Taiwan or something big like that. I can see a big crisis over Taiwan in the horizon that will test China's resolve and ability to control the conflict while also deterring DPP from making big changes in Taiwan.

Thunderbolt-2000 is a 117mm Taiwan domestic produced rocket artillery system, with the longest range munition currently available capable of reaching 45km. A new 100km range round was just trialled but failed to reach its full range before landing in the ocean. The program manager has been hospitalised due to hypertension from the pressure.

BM-30 Smerch 300mm rocket artillery has like 90km range and is decades old.
The Chinese versions of it have increased range and can fire across the Taiwan Strait.
