Kathleen Kennedy got a three year extension. With all other Star Wars movies on "hold," that means that's just Episode 9. She's on her way out. I hope that includes JJ Abrams too. Bring on the Game of Thrones guys...
Dave Filoni involved and directing episodes of the Jon Favreau's The Mandalorian is only good news. Word is Disney's subscription streaming service might be around $10. If that's the case I more willing to subscribe.

This is exactly the problem what Solo faced but worse. When audiences were first introduced to these characters, they weren't good people. They would never make a movie where the protagonist was a bad guy. It would be daring but Hollywood doesn't do that. Disney is family friendly so they're not going to glorify criminals. Hence why if they made a Boba Fett movie, he wouldn't be Boba Fett just like Han Solo wasn't Han Solo. The rumor mill on Boba Fett's origin and story for his movie is someone kills the Boba Fett that everyone knows and then he assumes his identity. And that's where they could craft a story without being constrained by history. But he died as the Boba Fett everyone knows as a bad guy... That sounds so absurd it might not have been true but it follows along with the logic of Solo. They had to make him at least a person with good intentions but he wouldn't be the scoundrel everyone was first introduced to. It's all right to start off a bad guy but usually it's the drama of the journey the character that goes away from that which is important. They couldn't do that with these characters without making them not who they are.
