well, yesterday, my Alma Mater, BYU, pulled out another squeaker.

They beat my BSU Broncos 34-24, but they had been behind until the last 42 seconds when their freshman QB hit another bomb to go ahead.

Then BSU threw a pick-six as time ran out.

But BSU had been ten points up in the 4th quarter.

I was rooting for BYU because I went to school there, met my wife there, and my brother played four years n scholarship there in the late 1970s and early 1980s under Lavelle Edwards. Jim McMahon was a team mate of my brother's there.

Highlights:

The Big 12 Conference needs to take BYU in as one of their own, heck even my alma mater UH deserve to be a part of it too.

Other than college, where do the NFL teams draw their players from? Do the clubs have junior teams like soccer clubs and how does a non college NFL aspirant achieve their goal?

I believe mainly from undrafted college players and there are also backup players from practice squad. And maybe a few from the Canadian football league.

Taishan Dong only has 5 fights so far. No news on his next opponent or when. Two of his fights went the distance. That tells you how much distance he has to cover. I doubt he can go far because he started late. Several HWs now stand from 6'5" to 6'9". Tyson Fury is 6'9" and will be square off with Klitschko in exactly one month's time. His compatriot Anthony Joshua, 6'6", has scored 14-0 since winning his 2012 gold medal, all by KOs. Dong would be knocked out by these two and then some.
