Talking about disparity between the eastern and the western conferences in the NBA, the third seat in the East is Toronto, 31-25. The same record would place it at #10 in the West. So while Toronto will get home court advantage in the east, it won't even be able to get in the playoffs in the west...

Enjoy it while it last because next 4 years I think they will go away with the use NHL players, so no more Sidney Crosby and his fellow NHLers playing for the Canadians.
It will be back to the amateurs and college players where the US has the advantage.
Alright. Here's the final list of the 2014 Winter Olympics Medal Count by total a weighted count of the medals each nation won:
Russia, Canada, Norway, and the US were the top 4.
Russia REALLY stepped up the last two days and won it going away. The sweep of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the 50 km Cross Country skiing marathon, and the 1st place 4-man bob sled win on the last day did not hurt.
Canada, Norway, and the US were all very close in total score, with the US actually having the most medal, but less Gold.
They were great games and I enjoyed them thoroughly.
I too am glad that no terrorism was carried out. I believe that Russia was extremely vigorous about protecting the Games, and that they certainly ensured that even the very hint of it was quickly rooted out, and severelly quashed.
