Yes...Vietnam and the Phillipines will be sure to play both sides against the middle oif they can.
Same with India and they were also targeted by US FON ops in 2016.

Global allies call for continued US patrols in South China Sea
source is DefenseNews
Pledging it would protect its national sovereignty, China stated Friday it was monitoring the U.S. military’s activity in the hotly disputed South China Sea after two bombers were deployed to conduct a joint training exercise, according to .
With , the Air Force and Navy Thursday conducted a 10-hour mission using two B-1B Lancer bombers flying from Andersen Air Force Base in Guam through the South China Sea, the waterway critical for both military positioning and global trade claimed by China and many of its neighbors in Southeast Asia. The training mission also involved the Navy’s USS Sterett guided-missile destroyer.
“The joint training, organized under Pacific Command’s continuous bomber presence program (CBP), allows the Air Force and Navy to increase interoperability by refining joint tactics, techniques and procedures while simultaneously strengthening their ability to seamlessly integrate their operations,” .

It was the first such exercise since the U.S. held a drill that sent a warship near one of the man-made islands China has constructed in the heart of the South China Sea, Reuters reported. At that time the U.S called the drill a “freedom of navigation” patrol as it came within 12 nautical miles of the island. But such language was not used by the U.S. for Thursday’s drill.
Reports have stated that not only is China building the islands in order to fortify its perceived claims over the South China Sea, which has been estimated to funnel nearly a fifth of the globe’s trade, but that it has also stationed missiles on the islands.
Don't miss:
“China always maintains vigilance and effective monitoring of the relevant country’s military activities in the South China Sea,” a ministry said in a statement in reference to the U.S.
“China’s military will resolutely safeguard national sovereignty, security and regional peace and stability,” it said.
The Philippines, Brunei, Malaysia, Vietnam and Taiwan have each made claims to the South China Sea, but China has steadfastly maintained that it reigns supreme in the region and has routinely called for the U.S. to stay out of the matter.
The latest U.S. exercise and response from China comes as each attempts to figure out the best way to deal with North Korea’s increasing number of missile and nuclear tests. China, essentially the North’s lone ally in the region and around the world, has long called for diplomatic means to assuage Kim Jong Un’s regime but U.S. President Donald Trump has also said the Chinese need to take more of an active role in order to curb the North’s testing.
Another US FONOP in the SCS, this time with two B1 bomers.
Chances are very good China will dominate the South China Sea in the next five to ten years, and make it a de facto Chinese lake. That's from a Pentagon statement I read recently. So, if we take it at face value, and assume US will not fight China over sovereignty of SCS islands, rocks, and features, then we have to ask under what circumstance US will fight? I believe it's Freedom of Navigation for all ships, civilian and military. So, FONOPs are part of US core interests and US will pursue it with great vigor.China now has 3000 acres of real estate in SCS she didn't have before.
And US somehow thinks flying planes and sailing boats would make those prime beachfront properties any less legitimate, if at all, is quite hilarious and besides the point. China already got what she wanted.
Fonop mentality towards China in SCS is something akin to " hey, you rode my horse, I'll row your boat to death" LoL.
By all means, please do LoL.

Make all the sly remarks you wish, but US FONOPs are legal under international law, and China will just have to deal with it. The FONOPs shall continue; they are legal and they are necessary to keep the international waterways free and open for all nations. This is hilarious LoL.
Dude, Fonop is not something Moses got from a moutaintop on a stone tablet.
It's a made up idea to suit your wants.
All China needs to do is say something like this:
China always maintains vigilance and effective monitoring of the relevant country’s military activities in the South China Sea.
Then what? You take your boat and plane home sullen with a long face and try one more time LoL.
This can go on as long as you can burn your money.
Row my boat all you want LoL.

Five ships from Australia, Japan, Canada and the U.S. met in the South China Sea on June 8 for two days of maneuvers and exercises.
The exercise included JMSDF destroyers Izumo and Sazanami, RCN frigate HMCS Winnipeg, Australian frigate Ballarat and US destroyer Sterett.
During the exercise, the ships completed in-company ship manoeuvres, helicopter operations, personnel exchanges, gunnery exercises and air defense training.
Australian Chief of Joint Operations, Vice Admiral David Johnston, said the PASSEX enhanced interoperability between key regional defense partners.
“These maritime exercises build on other Australian Defence Force activities with Canada, Japan and the United States and develop interoperability across a wide spectrum of military operations, which enhances stability and security in the region.
During the course of its South East Asia deployment, HMAS Ballarat has undertaken engagement activities with Canada, China, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, the United Kingdom, the United States and Vietnam.
HMAS Ballarat will conduct further exercises with nations in the region during its deployment to South East Asia.
Big f-ing deal. What do these people think they could do with their silly boat regatta? Impress the Eskimos? Are the boat rides eroding China's efforts to continue tightening its grip in the SCS? Not only no, but hell no. Japan? Australia?? Canada??? Don't make me laugh! It's all sail and no ballast.
