If the Vietnamese CG did indeed ram one of their own fishing boats to set the others free, then this action undermines the image they've gone to lengths to portray, as merely being a victim and law abiding. Truth is always somewhere in the middle.

My main point is that western media always likes to portray China as an "aggressive neighbor and bullying" whenever it comes in contention with one of the other SCS players. BUT NO print out or shout out or drama whenever it's against smaller southeast Asian nation vs. other smaller southeast Asian nation in the SCS.

I don't agree Western media always portray China as an aggressive neighbor, because there are balanced articles from Western sources. I'll give you we see far more 'bad dragon' than 'good panda' stories to be sure. You're also correct there doesn't seem to be many stories about aggressive middle or small power actions in the SCS too.

How many of the "balance" articles are there about the CPC by the western media? The only "good panda" article you've read about China is non political stuff such as so and so panda population are increasing.

The list of authors in my OP provide considered and largely balanced views on China. You dismiss them not on facts, but on prejudice. That's your right, but you miss out on well presented and mostly balanced presentation by economics, policy, and international relations experts.
So what if none of them would be happy to see China as future #1? They're mostly Americans! So of course they rather see US as #1. I'm American and I want to see US #1, always. You are also supposed to be an American, don't you want America to be and to remain #1?

Those author's are prejudice against the CPC even if they are saying something positive about China they throw in a curve ball to discredit the government in one way or another. My argument here is take everything you read (no matter where or whom) with a grain of salt. What is their intention and how do they suppose to get there? Are they answering the right critical questions?
Yes, but my point is for some Americans to stop whining and bitching about China leading their way into the #1 position of the world. Go out and do something against your rulers and government that are failing you and the people! Regime change if you have to! Look into the mirror, stop praying to "god" and start becoming more practical and see the world in a different view and take history seriously! Is that too much to ask? I'm just saying.
