Those protrusions and hatch behind the cockpit are really interesting.

I recall a discussion, maybe in the J-16 thread carried over elsewhere, about SAC’s Intelligent Victory program. Then discussion about a big shrimp or credible analyst half-joking about how SAC were basically trying / going to put R2-D2 in the back of their fighters.

Does anyone remember that conversation? I’ve tried searching the forum but can’t find it. For some reason that’s where my mind went when looking at those features.

I'm sure that this is the most REDICULOUS photographer I've ever seen. He's definitely going to be invited by MSS.

So we're saying it's pure coincidence that previously we had a leak of the J-35 prototype at almost the exact same place? Many years later and nobody patched that security hole?

Isn't it more plausible that the "leak" was planned/unofficially authorized? Nobody who is sufficiently interested in this doesn't know the consequences of jumping a fence and taking such a picture.

They test their advanced UCAV just like WZ-X/GJ-X in Malan,Xinjiang.Dingxin in Gansu is for their new deployed prototype,but they usually accustomed to developing a brand-new prototype in their own research park like Chengdu,shenyang or Yanliang,Xian（Usually produce large transport aircraft and technology demonstrator.）.
