I really need to stop looking at the comments section there, every time I do I feel my IQ has been lowered by 30 points.

He posted another video in light of that recent picture. In it he pointed out a good point: if you deflect only one side of the wing tip it will change the lift and thus cause roll, but also it introduces yaw towards that side because it increases the drag on that side, probably a lot of yaw too since those wingtips could cause a lot of drag given their size and their position at the tip of the wings.

It occurs to me that if you then use the ailerons to cancel out the roll motion then you have an effective way of yaw control without vertical stabilizer.

I like the guy who says "China is just trying to scare us into spending more" with no sense of self-awareness about how that means they're all scared.

I still don't understand the centerline crease in the underbelly which would seem to significantly decrease the available volume in the 2 weapons bays, unless this fighter is much larger (or at least much wider) than a J-20.

Some are speculating that this crease serves as a stabilizer.
You mean like structural support along the long axis? This must be what it's for I guess, but why resort to this solution when the J-20 and J-35 did not have to? Perhaps 2/2 the (presumed) larger size of the "J-50". IDK
