A rear view photo of J-XDS, posted by Cute Orca on Weibo with the caption "If this is not a PS-ed photo, this shows that the J-XDS has full-moving wingtips and no angled vertical stabilizers."

Are me eyes deceiving me? The left nozzle looks squarish whilst the right nozzle looks more "roundish". If true, then there might a hint of 2DTVC of sorts; or testing of two different engine configurations (the latter being highly unlikely). Or just a case of some flaps at top of left engine...

Also, whilst not definitive, the belly did not appear to show the deep trough / channel in the light grey prototype

To me the engine to aircraft size proportion makes it seem rather small.. like J-35 size, albeit wider.

Combined with the images of the underside, it seems the intakes are also rather large in proportion to the fuselage, almost like there is little to no IWB space.

Compared to the J-35 even though its wings are longer, It seems the J-35 fuselage is in fact wider in proportion to the engines.

Yes indeed, but still from the two available images we know so far, both show or at least seem to show, the canopy - if it is indeed one - "appears to be quite flat".
Well we could say it's not a bubbletop and if the camera as not negated a transparent canopy with blur...maybe it have not a pronounced bulge.

We put blur on that picture and the canopy is gone for sure, we could say at this moment tat it would be a roadster.

No it is larger than J-20.
