Why do we still obsess over this? It is all but confirmed that the carrier fighter will be based on FC-31.
Every little hint towards unveiling is interesting, at least to such obsessed nerds like me!
By the way, any idea, where it was spotted?

I'm not sure either but judging from surroundings I'd say this was taken in Wuhan (aka the carrier mockup located there)
btw if this is indeed Wuhan, there's a chance that this model is the same one that was sighted a while ago on the deck of that mockup
well...hopefully the real thing will fly before end-of-year (?)
This seems to confirm FC-31 can only carry 4 missiles in the weapon bay.
What do you mean only? That's par for the course for medium stealth fighter.
I thought the weapon bay is at least the same size as J-20 central bay.
It is. But unless they develop a new missile you can only fit four in J-20's bay as well.
