Interesting how the FC-31 still has the air brake. I wonder if they’ll get rid of it in a future iteration.

This model is anyway a mix of both demonstrators since it has the single piece canopy but the larger tails
Does anyone know what the future holds for the FC-31/J-31/J-35? I've seen some sources which said that it has already been accepted by the PLAN while other sources say that it hasn't been yet and Shenyang is still developing the plane in hopes that PLAN will accept it. The are also sources that say that this plane will be only used as an export. Does anyone here have an idea?

Unless the CAC kept a naval fighter completely under wraps for 8 years then the J-35 is the most likely naval fighter candidate.
