Everyone is talking about the J-31 for carrier ops. But can the J-31 design take off from a ski-ramp ? Or do we have to wait for Type 002 AC to come out.

As long as they keep the weight down and the engines are powerful enough. Look, the Indians and Russians operate the MiG-29K which uses a similar powerplant.
It operates just fine.

The deal is once you get to have a catapult then it would make sense to have either a larger or a more robust airframe because you can carry a much larger combat load.

I don't care about JF-17, but these two are equipped with thrust vectoring WS19 engines which will be used in the J31 stealth fighter. The caption on the picture.

Impossible since there have been no hints of the WS-19 starting flight tests.

And where did you get the original rumor that the FC-31 manufacturing time has been reduced via 3D-printing?

medium thrust vectoring engine that fitted into JF-17, it has to be WS19.

Please stop with this: posting any random image with a sensational claim while NOTHING - in fact not the slightest bit of evidence - point towards your claim.

Indeed, we are not any random fan-boy forum where Sina-reported over-hyped claims are presented as facts. So, either explain why you think this could be the WS-19 even if all information we have say clearly, this engine is not ready, and even less likely already flying on two operational JF-17s or leave such BS.
