I like this.. looks like China engines?

Oh come on, man !! Grow up!!!

Once again a repost of old images, again with Sina on them .... WHY ????

Sometimes I have the feeling you want to do that as just some sort of trolling.

In the F-35's case, it has all-moving tails, whereas the J-31 has rudders built into the tail. TVC might compensate for the yaw authority lost, of course, but the J-31 is not TVC yet. Another issue is that the J-31 lacks the EODAS apertures the F-35 enjoys; the F-35 will have better situational awareness and IR sensor than the J-31.

Isn't F35 having rudders built into tail too.

Yup, you're right. I seem to recall the F-35 was all-moving, whereas the F-22 had rudders. As it turns out, it's the YF-23 that has all-moving tails. Regardless, it's the large fins that enable the F-35 to achieve its yaw performance.

Yep, without those huge verts and rudders the F-35 would be unable to do that 360 degree "pedal turn", fighter's NEED verts, tailless has worked quite well for the B-2, and various drones, even the XB-47,, but NOT for a fighter, yes it would be more L/O, but and Yes you would lose the tremendous maneuverability that makes a fighter aircraft, a fighter aircraft..

and you're right the J-20, SU-57, and YF-23 had "all flying" verts,, they work fine, but they tend have slightly less area, and on the J-20 they had to add vents in order to achieve the maneuverability and stability that were both requirements for their design..

now if you're just looking for something to launch missiles BVR,,, just load the B-2 or the B-21 up with air 2 air missiles??

Yep. The fans of SAC come out and celebrate (based on the rumor). We, the general spectators just don't want to see SAC pull a "J-8-III" on us. If they fail they will waste all the investment on aircraft carriers, too!

So far PLAN has been risk-averse and sane, for the most part. They know it best. Best of luck to them.

If SAC screws up, that'll essentially be the end of it, so I don't think its management will be taking any risks by cutting corners like they did with the J-16 program.

Actually Trump is buying SAC and moving them to Long-Beach where they will be appreciated,,,, he's gonna sell FC-31's and SAC's version of the SU-35 to "Top Gun",,, oh and he promised if I will help him negotiate the deal, he will give me 31001 as a token of his appreciation!

I'm on it,,, I'm leaving Central Obamastan and moving to Long Beach to help SAC get set up,, I think we can sell the US Govt a bunch of FC-31s and SU-35s at a great price,,, where gonna stick to Pratt and Whitney though!

so instead of "sad SAC" in China, we'll be "SUPER SAC" in Long Beach!
