NATO is going to shiat bricks if Turkey even considers buying 5th Gen fighter from China LOL
I'm not so sure NATO needs to worry at all, because China isn't selling the J-20, and with one known airworthy J-31 and few verified facts on capability, performance and availability, it's not ready for export competition with the F-35.

Turkey already is an outcast because it might order Chinese airdefence system; they will think twice before further hurting EEG feelings since they so much would like to join.

Well, on the bright side, if Turkey goes with a Chinese fifth gen, their much hyped comparability issues with the Chinese SAMs they want to buy becomes a whole lot less of an issue. :)

I think right now Turkey is still a little too far away for it to ditch the F35 and go for the J31. But in a decade or two, after China's new Silk Road programmes start to really come together and bare fruit (which will also vastly improve transportation links between China and Turkey), Turkey may well see joining the China focused new pan Euroasian continental economic block as the superior option to the EU carrot Buressls is perpetually dangling just out of reach.

@ no_name & SinoSoldier !

Yes, it seems indeed to be one of the few - at least for me still mysterious - laws of Chinese aeronautics ! :D

Like I already noted in the J-20 tread, the next opportunity will be between 6. - 11. July (when I'm away with a class) and even more between 27. July and 15. August (family holydays in France !) ... so I think the chances are good that at least until mid-August we know more about J-20 '2016', Y-20 '20004', the operational units of J-10B and J-16 ... and maybe more ! :p
