I'm choked with that smoke!!! Someone find a pair of new engines for it.
Actually Steel, even the Honey-Badger was a smoker when I got her, and after putting her three, and my four together, she prolly thought about drinking too, LOL. Now she runs 5ks and rides the flat bar road bike I built for her, so the J-31 will clean up her act, she just needs a little refinement, and that takes "time"... I'm rather certain the WS-13 will be coming up to speed, but those old "smokers" are kinda nostalgic for guys my age,,,,, she's not smoking nearly as bad as the Mig-29, "Natasha" flown by Air USA several years ago.... check out the video on You Tube! What engines are in the Mig-29Ks?? it seems they don't smoke as bad, but I could be wrong???

Well, it sure looks the part!
Wonder how long it will take for this platform to flesh out.
Would be interesting to see this as the replacement for the majority of the PLAAF's j-7 and j-8s.

That's a holographic HUD? First time on the J-31. Also does the designation of "FC" mean for export, like FC-17? If it is domestic, it would have been "J".
The fc designation to me just says that it is on offer for export, doesn't mean the airframe is only for export or that it won't be adopted domestically.
And it has been using the same holographic HUD since the beginning.

Good to know. Been seeing the holographic HUD on the J-20 since the #2002 (I think), but just noticed it on the J-31 now...
I think all new Chinese fighters flown since (and including) J-11B have had holographic HUDs. They really are they industry standard now. I think PLA fighters even use the same model as J-11B, although J-20 2011 and 2012 use a newer thinner model.
