I recall now the CG picture was from a Chinese airshow demo video. The nose section looks like that of the JH-7A but with the V-shape stealth shaping. If it's an entirely new design, they, or we, should not be calling it the JH-7B

Even china can't afford all those fighter.
i think there is only one new project: it is either a two engine stealth or a single engine stealth multirole aircraft.
And it will also suit PLAN future need.

You've got to be kidding me if you believe that all of those will enter service. If the company feels that it is an attractive export offer (like the J-2X, JH-7B) then PLAAF funding isn't needed.

Of course the potential existence of these programs doesn't rule out the fact they could've been cancelled or could be cancelled. I will say that if J-19 is the heavy 5th gen striker we've been hearing about it would make no sense for it to go into a competition with single engined J-2X, for they would cover completely different roles.

Right, and also that most of these programs are variants of existing ones (J-2X is from J-20, JH-7B is from JH-7A, etc).

Here are some more info on the JH-7B.

The JH-7B isn't simply an "upgrade" of the JH-7A. If its internal weapons bays and such are true, then it will be a LO design:

The JH-7B is also rumored to have phased array radar, etc.

Just because it is called JH-7B, that doesn't mean it is actually related to the JH-7A. For all we know, XAC could have use the variant designation to get the fundings for development of a new aircraft. This has happened in Soviet Union before.

I have a question, is it possible that the JH 7B is already developed and in service, same cases as US F 117. Since it is a fighter bomber and does not has proper protection especially until J 20 becomes fully operational. Keeping it secrete will increase its success rate in any conflict.

No XAC is way too exposed and having many civilian projects onsite to be able to roll out something in complete secrecy, they can't even fit a sino-JOSW on the JH7A without people noticing and posting pictures.

There was a large glide bomb type thing seen on the JH-7A. People think it might be a Chinese JDAM but it seems to be powered. But I always thought the KD-88 was the PLAAF JSOW?

KD-88 has a distinct lack of stealth shaping. It's more like SLAM

This one ... but IMO it's huge but not powered !
