What do you think. JF-17 had its first flight in 2003, went through a substantial redesign and the first planes were delivered to PAF in 2007. It took a while to have JF17 inducted and it was 2009 before we could do anything with them. So, would it be appropriate or logical to expect J-31 to be ready for induction in, say 6 years. Would anyone else care to comment on this?

Well let us be honest. What can we contribute? A small portion of what china does. Adding more weight won't help more. But I am pretty sure they are involved in it now. How it will take? It is more complex then JF17. And that one is still kind of testing even now... Not before 2018 for sure.

Can anyone so far confirm the second flight (date and duration ?) ... otherwise Anigrand's model seems to be finished:

I'd like to suggest a Thunderbirds air-show style paint for the factory demonstrator, this is a great looking airplane, with some blasters in the tailcone, she could be an overperformer, while I know the eng will not like my suggestion, I'd put OVT on this bird, she is definetly the pick of the litter, and even without it she will be agile, so I'm gonna put my money on the Shenyang J_31, will have a much simpler FCS. So even though others may think it looks too simple or basic, I think it will be a performer if they will uprate the powerplants. History show us that there is simply no such thing as too much go in an A2A bird, so Shenyang, lets turn up the juice baby, but really, the PAF or PLAN need to step up and say do it! AFB

Oh yeah, and since I play with my toys, I want a die cast version, and where is my diecast J-20? Come on people and the same suggestion for the J-20, Paintgun, why don't you show us an airshow demo style white base paint on a J-20 model bro, I know under that flat black shes a gorgeous bird? anybody care to "style these chicks" Brat
