flaps + ailerons

It is the first plane as stealth with flapperons. The only input must come from PAF.

Which stealth fighters don't have falpperons?

And with the RD93 it does show a link with PAF. Why would PLAAF go for RD33 or a derivative????

That's...a hell of a reach. The RD93/WS13 is the only medium thrust modern turbofan option the PLAAF will have for some time, and a medium thrust engine is the only way to go if you want a twin engined medium weight fighter.

Why did you upload the second pic? Can't you see the size differences between F-22 and PakFa in both pics are different. Therefore, what's the point of the second pic?

In fact, if you see the problem, and change the scale of PakFa in the second pic to the same size as the first pic, you should find J-20 is about size as PakFa.

I was not talking about size but about whether they have the [ailerons + flaps] or [flapperons]... If you have no clue what the posting was all about then why so furious? The first pic had no J20... That is why I added J20 and it was with some more planes... So mr Kickars, tell me now what the friction is.

I guess some of us here has become paranoid of any suggestion of the J-20 being supersize in relation to its counterparts. :D You can bet the second picture was drawn by some chap some time back to illustrate just how big the J-20 was, but of course we know now it's downright ridiculous.

I do not see why size matters that much. I am far more interested in what is in the bay. How long it can stay up and what would be the range. Or what about how agile compared to others... Would it do the same high low attack profile as F22 etc etc. I do not care about a pilot tube that is longer or smaller. But I am interested in flapperons, canards etc... I like this plane. It is the best size, dual engine and perfect for Pakistani airforce countering Rafale or Pakfa...

Still no gear up uh? So only throttle settings and basic flight and landing sofar.

Munir, would it be proper to speculate upon the probable date of induction if PAF throws its weight behind this project?

What do you think. JF-17 had its first flight in 2003, went through a substantial redesign and the first planes were delivered to PAF in 2007. It took a while to have JF17 inducted and it was 2009 before we could do anything with them. So, would it be appropriate or logical to expect J-31 to be ready for induction in, say 6 years. Would anyone else care to comment on this?

It would really depend on the PAF and them getting behind the J-31 as a partner fairly quickly. With out money and a firm buyer it is difficult to see Shenyang moving swiftly ahead unless the PLAN do adopt it as a follow on Naval Fighter. AFB
