China certainly is not so rich that it can afford to buy allies by gifting them 5th Gen. fighters. The USA has not given anyone free F-35's, either... Every F-35 buyer is going to pay a whole lot more than they had planned to get their F-35's...
But if Pakistan really is in a situation that they desperately need something like a 5th Gen. aircraft, arrangement could be made, say, via soft loans, etc. For SAC's own sake, they will need to export as many as they can to keep things going.
It's either RD-93 or WS-13.
I read that it was a WS series engine...

That's only your opinion. Israelis ARE getting their F-35 for free, payed for from the annual US monetary aid.
Anyway, back to J-31. Hopefully some videos of it during the first flight will be shown. And some high-rez pics too
