Re: Casual talk...Have fun!
DID YOU KNOW
That the courtship dive of a small humingbird has been found to be the quickest aerial manoeuvre for an animal compared to its size. It even outpaces the movements of a jet fighter and space earth shuttle on its earth re entry.
The Male bird is known for its death defying dive, which ends with a dramatic upturn of its wings to stop it crashing into the ground. Scientists have calculated that the 80km/h speed at the fastest point of its dive, is the equivilent of moving more than 383 times its body length per second and is pulling 9gs as it pulls up out of its dive, the maximum G force experienced by pilots and some black out, according to C Clark of Berkeley University.
