Economically their interest doesn't align as they compete with each for agricultural and mineral exports, with China there is a complementary relationship. Its a gamble. I think china needs to also have news and journalism investments as well, to shift public opinion?
Im sure Bolsonaro's backers love money as much as Lula backers do.
