Really? I thought the 300mm rockets came in pods of five instead of four.
According to Yankee and co the 300mm rocket pods come in two flavours. The five rocket pod are composite material and single use and cannot be reloaded, PLA asked for a more robust metal reloadable version for daily training use. This version only has four rockets with the centre tube being a strengthen tube.

I remember Yankee was joking that the centre tube triggers him due to the wasted space and if only they used that tube for something useful like a 122mm tube for launching drone tipped rockets or something.

I recall he also said one of the function of the reloadable 4 tube pod is it's compatible with 300mm rockets for PHL-03, as they would want to use those up for training first. It sounds like he was implying PHL-16's 300mm rocket is not identical to the older version.
