I wonder, how much of you guys have to do (or have ever done! popeye&sampan generation outcluded) real physical labor? Such like digging up stuff whit showel, general constructive work or agricultural work? And how much do you get paid for it?
For istance I had to spend my entire morning by doing the most anti-motivating job ever, dig up the foundation of this house to instal the anti-ground frost covers...and it wasent the first house I have done that, whit only showel! I hate when drunken bricks on the controls of the excavator
thinks its OK to just fill the earth, those little covers can be installed later on, its just small job....my ass! its always Golly's job:mad:
well for 10€ per hours in cash is adequote motivator though....But luckily im off for nice and clean indoor job for rest of the summer:)

Well i saw my name excluded but I will comment....

Since I retired from the Navy I have been a truck driver for two different thrift stores in San Diego. this was very physical. Try making about 50 stops each day. Picking up the donations. All sorts of boxes, bags, of household items, appliances etc & furniture loading and unloading the truck mostly by yourself.

My present job doing building maintance does invole some physical labor.

I've never done any agricultural work..I'm a city boy...

Hey Golly how much is 10 euros an hour in American money????

Well during my collage years I usually worked month, month and a half every summer in demolition firm. They worked on highway projects. I worked on tunnel construction (Mala Kapela tunnel 5860m long) and on building access roads to the tunnel…

When we were clearing access roads we used 4 – 12 tons of explosives. Now if truck could not come to minefield we had to carry that explosive to site… Each box of explosive has 25kg and we had to carry it some 300m. Since there was only 5 of us you can imagine how easy was to carry all 12 tons. Tunnel work was easier but more dangerous…

But I paid collage that way and had enough money for few months spending. And it is f….. fun to see 12t TNT explosion…

Ps.
Popeye 10€ is some 11 - 11.5$

remainds of my army days:D :D

But like Istvan said the 10€ is about 11 $....and thats directly to your hands, no need to worry about taxes...now as my real summerjob starts my salary will drop considerably, but the work is actually the kind that i'm studiyng so it will be very important to me...As our studying is free and we get the student aid, i'm able to save the summermoney and perhaps buy myself a decent car (i'm currently driving with my sisters 89's Saab 900)

Golly, does that car come with a tool kit? Oh brother..Those cars were trouble when they were new. Golly you deserve better!

In the US some people would call that car a "hooptie".. Which is an old beat up car.....

Well it's my first car (or the first car that i'm driving) so i'm not so picky...it have some proplems with the start, or more like in the first meters of driving, it seems that the engine wont start properly and tend to rundown too often, but after you drive about 1 km, the proplems go away and it's rather pleasent drive...:D My mother also have a similar Saab (tough one year older) and my dad is geeting a 85' model Saab, so it would be bit weird to me to change the brand...

Sounds like the car needs a tune up..You know. New spark plugs, fuel filter, air cleaner. Maybe the fuel injectors need to be cleaned...

Do you think she would go for a guy like you?:D

I just have to spend one week doing a special service project, and 40 hours of genuine(no sports of creativeness)serivice.

I sure as hell have a better chance than you...

And about jobs, I applied at Safeway, hope to get around $7 an hour after taxxes and work 20-30 hours a week. I'm going to try go scrounge up community service hours too... volunteering at the library and boring crap like that.
