Thinking of getting a job and volunteer at the local library. Damned IB program requires me to have 150 service hours by the end of grade 12.

Other than that, post on SDF!

150 is total is easy
i already got 90 hours from sports: swimming and winter/spring track
and around 100 hours for voluntering and still going
for creative i think i got 30

my friend who volunteered in the 2006 canada election got 100 action + service hours (total 100) because the guy at the office said he'll sign any number they put down. too bad i missed that chance, played too much css back then.

and they got a picture with paul martin. still regreting...

not 150 service hours, it's called CAS: creativity, action, service. so do something creative, take some photography class for the hours (instead of credit and mark). action: join a sports team, or be like me and get a few hours off everything, including doing surveys for the yearbook class. service: even easier, almost everything that benefits a part of the society counts as service, volunteer for parent-teacher interview, etc.

I'll confirm that with my IB coordinator then.
Wow, that means... 160+ hours for my creativity alone? I suppose taking private violin lessons and practicing counts?

it's 50 for each: creative, action, and service.. so 150 in told,

my ib coordinator said "try" to make them even, but she didn't say they "have" to be even, so for me there is not hard limit such as 50-50-50. all we need to have is fairly spread out hours, so if you look at mine in total, i have far less action hours than creativity (because i take yearbook class, 4 hours a week for the whole year).

As for friedrice: that counts as Action, in CAS.

PS: swimmer, what are those three chinese words on your avatar? the last one is "you", others are hard to read.

"the engineer"
i wish i was in high school still.. i though i dropped out of IB since it's absolutely useless if you want to go into engineering. now i get to make the big bucks.
9 hrs of regular work plus 2 hrs of overtime which is like working for 12 hrs a day with 1.5 times pay for overtime.

btw.. obcession, you going to volunteer at the library by churchill???

i'll be back on the forum again in another 3 or 4 days...
