not sure about the names of the maneuvers:
  • Nesterov loop;
  • tailslide (колокол - "bell");
  • barrel roll (бочка - "keg") ;
  • Pugachev cobra ...
I won't be doing any of that in my brothers Cessna 150? Good morning master Jura, glad to have you back in the "air" with us so to speak and thank you for your translations.

Sources say the IAF has scaled down its needs and now indicated that just three squadrons (around 18 planes in each), besides a few more for training of the pilots, will be enough for now. This works out to be 65 planes, almost half from the earlier projection of 127 FGFAs to be jointly designed and produced by India and Russia.
..
..
New Delhi has suggested to Moscow that the T-50 fighter jet can be supplied to the IAF, while the research to improve upon the aircraft can carry on simultaneously. The Tribune had first reported about India’s offer on February 24 this year. Simultaneously, the IAF is also working on a $11 billion R&D contract for long-term development of the jet. It is pending ratification since 2013. In a written reply to the Rajya Sabha on August 4,Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said the preliminary design stage of the fifth generation fighter aircraft programme completed in June 2013.

“The expenditure incurred so far is Rs 1,483.15 crore,” Parrikar said.The next stage of development of the fifth generation fighter aircraft will commence after signing of the R&D contract. The problem is in case India opts for the R&D contract route, the deliveries are envisaged to commence 94 months – eight years. The next best option is to go for an immediate off-the-shelf purchase and in case the research-and-development contract works out, more jets can be produced here.

Let the games begin??? no doubt Russian side wants some Jack up front before proceeding, they know the Indians are good for it? Russians have cut their own buy to 12?? take that with a grain of salt, but they need money from the Indians to get this show on the road? I wouldn't be surprised to hear the Indians are attempting to buy the F-35?? I really don't know if we would sell it to them??

but the threat to the Russians of going off shore?? (ie, US F-35) is another card in the Indians hand, they should have gone ahead and bought those 36 Rafaels??? if they are as good as our old buddy BB said they were???

Remember I have predicted earlier that the Indians would be buying the Dash-2 PAK-FA, the fire and T-50 set back is a blow to the Russians and an opportunity for the Indians, but everybody has to play fair, this would seem to confirm my prediction and the Indian FGFA would be put on the back burner for possible upgrade later, if they could be built by HAL, this would be a long-term plus for the Indian position?

i cannot be sure about the source of the article being authentic

other than the 4 guys that i mentioned
the others can be anything from 100% correct to a made up story or a daydream.

note the source being an un-named source:cool:

as for the F35
the U.S is stepping up the pressure to get the F16 IN into IAF stables, (all over today's news

)
and from the MMRCA competition of old the F35 was supposed to follow the F16 IN

anyway i do not see much chance for either of them.

not to metion that the IAF likes excellent dogfighters
they won't accept any with lesser aerodynamic than the MKI or the Mig29

now the Indian Navy would like the F35 B or C

Correct the yellow is just the zinc-chromate over all the work that has been done, those skins cover the repaired/replaced aft main gear bulkhead, maybe at station 23?? I believe prolly new heavier bulk head, maybe just a patch? upper fuselage longerons likely strengthened? stringers, floors?? note how thin that aft fuse section is??? and there is an aft weapons bay that comprises a lot of "dead space that is structurally a liability, when you factor that in to the tremendous stresses of pushing that airplane around the sky with those OVT nozzles, much of that side loads?? and vertical stresses up and down, right and left opposing nozzles as you roll? there is a lot going on back there, no doubt they have a handle on it now, and these mods, upgrades will be rolled into the production aircraft, heavier skins are also in that mix, that's why we build and fly prototypes, and then push them till they break, and they do break.

To put all this in perspective, the F-35B has very similar issues with the aft main bulkhead that was changed to aluminum after being designed to be Titanium, the A and C still have a titanium aft main bulkhead, no cracking there, but problems with the leading edge root ribs?? and who knows what else, burning off the tail feathers with afterburner, its all fun and games, especially when you have to go back and rebuild parts of these birds?
