there is video of bort 55 flying at 36:50 over a village after the medical test of the Sukhois test Pilot Taran. (can we date the video footage? no we can not because Bort 55 has pictures since November 2013 )
you can keep your opinion, i do not agree with it because there are pictures of bort 55 from June 10th 2014 before the accident, and Sukhoi it self gave the news of the accident thus they were honest about it so i have confidence their statement reflects the truth
This is obviously important to you, so are you trying to defend Sukhoi, T-50, your own viewpoint???, and let me say I am very sorry that our pessimistic assessment seems to have been taken against any of the above. You have much to be encouraged about with PAK-FA, it is coming along nicely, it is gorgeous, and it promises to be a very high performance fighter aircraft, yes I do own a 1/100th scale model of PAK-FA, and the J-20, because I like them both a great deal, and you are obviously a fan, as am I.
I can't begin to tell you how disappointed and angry that I was/am that the F-22 was discontinued, but I am thankful to have 184 copies left, and if I myself have added to your angst, I am truly sorry. Obviously we both are very interested in aircraft and flying, and love the Boeing and your Avatar. I really think things are looking up for the T-50,,, and if I were Sukhoi, I can assure you I would pull one of the other prototype center section fuselages out of the que, and take the salvageable bits and rebuild -05, and if they do that, they will call it 05, no harm no foul. No, I don't work for Sukhoi, but I have handled and given a general hands on walk-around of a couple of Mig-29s, in fact if you want a Mig-29UB, I will be more than happy to facilitate your contact with the owner??? really, I will!
I am very familiar with aluminum, titanium, and carbonfibre, also familiar with the bonding process as there are many aluminum/carbon fibre bicycle frames, and yes they do get dinged, bent, and even broken, even repairing a carbon fiber bike frame is an intricate process, as the multiple layers must be bonded together, and pressure applied to facilitate a clean resin/fibre bond free of voids, many people discard and refuse to ride their bikes if they get dinged through a couple of layers, as they may fail catastrophically. I still ride my old Cannondale R700 aluminum without fear, but I maintain it very carefully. On a larger note, I spent lot of evenings and Saturdays at Klems Aero Repair, I saw lots of dinged airplanes, wood and tube, aluminum, and a few fiberglass homebuilts,,,,we repaired them all,,, we also had a scrap pile, for the stuff that was unrepairable, over the years, I couldn't believe some of the stuff we repaired, and some of the equally kool stuff we discarded????
