Exactly. So in any case, this is no selling point for S-200 or Russian technology. I used the S-x00 as an example to explore different possibilities. None of those cross universes. All I wanted to express was my opinion that whatever the reality, S-200 hitting F-35 is either not true or means nothing much.

Its absolute nonsense, period!, and those who go all "looney tunes" on the possibility,,, are showing there lack credibility on a serious military forum, but hey, its a free country, knock your-self out!
The SU-57 will no doubt be a serious WVR combat aircraft, and will pose a clear and present danger to any 4th or 4+ gen or earlier fighter aircraft at any range, since that's the bulk of combat aircraft in the world today,,, its a very serious airplane! To assume for whatever reason? that its capable of taking on the F-22, F-35, or the J-20 on an equal footing?? that's just highly doubtful, not saying an SU-57 could never emerge victorious, but that it would be a serious longshot, likely only if the other team is napping, and in the real world, those things do happen.

I've NEVER denied being a Fan-Man Ace,, I'm just to old to be considered a boy,, I like the F-14, loved the movie "Top Gun",,, not really an F-111 guy, since it was not true fighter in the traditional sense.
no doubt some American sources, bloggers, democrats and some republicans lie,, but almost all military sources in this country are held to a very high standard, and liars in the public and private sector are "called out".. right now the lies and liars of the last administration are being called out publicly,, and the American people will once again have a choice to make...
so say what you think, its really not going to bring the American standard down, nor is it going to bring the Russian standard up,,, LockMart, Boeing, Northrup, and on down the list, they all care a great deal about providing the US with the best fighter aircraft in the world...and they have the resources and support to do just that.

Makes sense though. Talk about Su-57 -> talk about its design -> stealth shortcomings -> comparison to F-22, J-20, F-35 -> hence ability or inability to match something because Su-57 is designed to counter somethings. -> Someone mentions "poor American livings standards" without looking at Russian living standards. Hypocrisy is then pointed out. Someone mentions how stealth is a scam or not as effective as claimed. Then mentions conspiracy theory about S-200 and F-35.
Although it has derailed somewhat, all of this can be traced somewhere. If you want to contribute meaningfully, please do so instead of crying about how crappy this thread has become. You are not improving it.
There's bugger all news about Su-57. Who knows when RuAF will make their first batch operational and who know if and when IAF will be receiving FGFA. So there's not much to talk about except speculation and chit chat.

remember Psalm 14:1-3 no one is good, CNN, RT are no exception.
I am a fanboy simply because i discuss aircraft like sport cars, but in war none of these aircraft will be of much use.
Any way I like F-14, pretty machine, F-111 beautiful too, i would like we could avoid these machines are for war and we could only talk about them like sport cars if that would be the case, to be honest the Tomcat would be my favorite followed by Rafale and F-16.
PAKFA to be honest i like it, but is not my favorite, i am just interested in this machine as a historian

There have been successive airframe coverings (the engine covers as just one example) and now just days ago it has been revealed that there has indeed been work on LO engine nozzles, which are still 3D, regardless of which engine institute it was displayed at.
This is big news regarding the rather obvious and oft stated direction the Su-57 is headed to and designed towards.
But I guess that doesnt fit your little narrative.
Quite a few others have noticed this.
