How believable is the 3,500km range specified in the wikipedia for this plane? It doesn't seem to have a lot of internal volume for fuel

They most likely going by the Su-27/Su-30 series unrefuel range:

Su-27
- Range: 3,530 km
Su-30 - Range: 3,000 km
Su-30MK2 - Range: 3,000 km (1,600 nmi, 1,900 mi)
Su-30MKI - Range: 3,000 km (1,620 nmi) at altitude; (1,270 km, 690 nmi near ground level; with no external fuel tanks)
Su-35 -

Range: At altitude: 3,600 km (1,940 nmi), At sea level: 1,580 km (850 nmi)

I don't think this 3,500km range is right because PAK-FA is smaller than Su-27/Su-30, and doesn't look like it has a lot of internal volume to store those fuel.

If you look at similar aircraft like F-15 and F-22, that number just doesn't look right.

F-22
- Range: >1,600 nmi (1,840 mi, 2,960 km) with 2 external fuel tanks
F-15E
- Range: 2,400 mi (2,100 nmi, 3,900 km) with conformal fuel tank and three external fuel tanks

I'm not well versed in electromagnetics, but while quickly looking over this stuff, I have come across ideas of using visible spectrum lasers to generate radar frequency range pulses. Especially in the high-resolution, high-frequency range that seems to allow for the prospect of much "cleaner" radio pulse generation with less noise then todays (?) analog-digital up/down conversions of frequencies.

It somehow seems to allow for ultra wideband frequency generation very quickly as well. Thereby adjusting the signal to what is best suited for the task.

I also came across the concepts of interferometry and frequency to time mapping, apparently yielding much greater resolution than todays radar technology.

If anyone can comment on that stuff ... ??
Came across the subject of photonics radar.

The King of Bahrain visited the hangars of various foreign companies during the Bahrain International Airshow-2016, including hangars of ‘Sukhoi’, ‘Rosoboronexport’ and holding ‘Helicopters of Russia’.

King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has expressed interest in Russia’s multipurpose fighter of the fifth generation ‘Sukhoi’ T-50 (PAK FA). The start of serial production of an export version is scheduled for 2020.
