"In addition to the unique subsonic characteristics traditionally found in Sukhoi aircraft, the Su-57, the only fifth-generation aircraft, is equipped with a supersonic, low-observable, variable air intake, which provides the world's best supersonic range, flight endurance, and supersonic maneuverability," the agency's source said

Rostec has delivered a batch of BMP-3s to the army.

This equipment is produced by our holding "High-Precision Complexes". The vehicles have undergone a series of improvements that enhance their efficiency and protection. In particular, each BMP-3 is now equipped with a more modern electronic warfare system. The bottom protection against mine explosions has also been strengthened, and the rear and front armor's anti-shrapnel resistance has been increased.

Recall that over the past four years, dozens of changes have been made to the vehicle's design:

▪️ additional protection kits - side screens, grilles, upper hemisphere protection systems, and means of reducing visibility;

▪️ special devices and equipment that enhance the BMP's mobility and weapon effectiveness.

The equipment continues to be continuously modernized and improved based on combat experience.

Rare footage of a Russian heavy Forpost-RU UAV taking off was published by the Russian Unmanned Systems Troops. The Forpost-RU UAV is not frequently used these days, but videos of it have been available in Ukraine since 2022. Due to the Forpost-RU's large heat signature and size, it is easily detected by air defense systems, limiting its use.

The Russian Ministry of Defense received a new batch of BMP-3s produced in 2026. Each BMP-3 is now equipped with a more modern electronic warfare system. The underbody has also been reinforced against blasts, and the spall armor of the rear and front has been increased. Each BMP-3 comes with anti-cumulative gratings, armored screens, and "Nakidka" (cape) signature reduction kits. The attachments and protection are installed on the BMP-3 upon arrival at military units.

At the World Defense Show 2026 international defense exhibition in Saudi Arabia, the Russian NPO Bazalt presented the modernized RPG-29M hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher. The original RPG-29 "Vampire" entered service with the Soviet Army in 1989. The RPG-29M has been made lighter, while its power and firing range have increased. The RPG-29M launcher, empty, now weighs 4.4 kg, compared to the standard version's 12.1 kg.

The RPG-29M now weighs even less than the RPG-7, while also carrying a more powerful 105 mm grenade.
The RPG-29M has an integrated fire control system and a new ITP-VG-50 infrared sight. The sight offers 2×, 4×, and 8× digital zoom. This allows for human detection at ranges of up to 1,300–1,500 meters. The RPG-29M uses the PG-29VM tandem munition, designed to destroy armored vehicles at ranges of up to 700 meters. The TBG-29VM thermobaric munition has a firing range of up to 1,000 meters. There is also the MG-29M multipurpose munition with a firing range of up to 1,000 meters. The grenade launcher can also fire incendiary, cluster, and fragmentation-beam munitions.

The Russian Ministry of Defense unveiled the Pantsir-S air defense system with the new TKB-1055 mini-missiles. The TKB-1055 missile is designed to intercept drones; four missiles of this type are carried in a TKB-1056 container. The TKB-1055 missile was developed as a cost-effective version of the Pantsir-S air defense missiles.

For more information on the TKB-1055 missiles, see the video about the Pantsir-SMD-E air defense system.

This has some new pieces of info I haven't seen before with regards to the TOS-3 Drakon. Previously I assumed this is a TOS-2 launcher on a T-72 chassis. Apparently it's a new launcher.

The TOS-1A uses a launcher with 24 rockets, the TOS-2 has 18, but the TOS-3 uses only 15. However, in exchange for less rockets, each rocket is longer and has more range. While the TOS-1 only has 6km, the TOS-1A moved that to 10. The TOS-2 moved that to 15-20. The TOS-3 could be anywhere from 18-24km. The farther it goes the harder it is to be interdicted by drones, although it's still not invulnerable by any means. The system also gained a new ECM system against drones.

The fact that the TOS went from tracked tank then to wheeled truck then back to tracked tank as a means of mobility seems to go against trends of using wheels over tracks. I said before, for assault, wheels have an advantage over tracks as they are not as noisy. But for artillery, while wheels are more affordable, allow for higher highway speeds, a wheeled artillery unit looks more visible from the air compared to the tracked unit. The tracked unit also has more armor, assuming if the unit is struck by a drone and has already fired it's rockets, it might be more survivable.

This is general summary that this long conflict can upgrade equipment and improve training much beyond what can be achieved in peace time. than you add this Anti-Ballistic and Anti-hypersonic missile capabilities to fighters like MIG-31.
Su-57 going to have similar ability.

Russia's war in Ukraine has made its formidable air defenses an even tougher challenge for NATO, airpower analyst warns

  • ussia's air defenses may now pose a greater threat to NATO, a leading air power analyst warned.
  • Its experience fighting Ukraine has enhanced its capabilities, he said.
  • Crews have more experience, systems have been upgraded, and there are still hundreds of batteries.
He told Business Insider in an interview about the report that Russia's forces are "much more experienced" and have "learned quite a lot through trial and experimentation.
Russia still has a huge array of defenses
Ukraine has been able to achieve a "steady drumbeat" of strikes

with weaponry like drones, artillery, and missiles, Bronk said, but there are still "several hundred batteries" in service, with more modern variants continuing to roll off production lines.
Bronk's analysis is based on interviews with Western air forces and ministries, data from Ukraine's armed forces, and open-source information. He said his findings indicate that

integrated air defence systems "remains a highly potent threat to NATO air capabilities in a European context."
The sheer volume is a problem for NATO in Europe. "The primary threat to NATO air power" is Russia's extensive ground-based surface-to-missile coverage, he said.
Improvements to the force include new tactics and procedures, software updates to improve the performance of radars, better resistance to electronic warfare, and bringing new pieces of hardware into service.
Ukraine has reported that since mid-2023, Russia's long-range surface-to-air missiles have more frequently coordinated engagements with fighter jets near the front lines and A-50U airborne early warning and control aircraft, allowing them to fire at Ukrainian aircraft "at ranges that the surface-to-air systems could not have been able to directly observe by themselves."

This basically confirming what was mentioned in last year Dubai airshow that there is version of Su-57 with speed of 3000km/hour and this export. Upgraded MIG-31 is at 3400km/hour top speed.

LIMA 2025 – Rosoboronexport provides new details on the Sukhoi Su-57, Russia’s new fifth-generation stealth fighter

The Su-57 has reduced radar signature, thanks to the use of composite materials, which represent around 25% of the structure, a radar-absorbing coating, and the integration of ordnance in the internal weapon bay. It is 19.8 metres long, has a 13.95 metres wingspan, and is 4.74 metres high. It has a maximum take-off mass of 34,000 kg and a maximum speed of around Mach 2 (2,470 to 2,950 km/h depending on the version). Its range is between 1,250 km (combat) and 4,000 km (ferry), and its ceiling is around 19,000 metres.

The recent 2026 batch of Su-57. They mentioned new types of air to air weopons not just single type. it seem new upgrades across all the ranges. so this will be second major upgrade of AAMs in three years.

UAC delivered a batch of Su-57 aircraft with an updated weapons system to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The new technical configuration will facilitate the expansion of the missions for which this aircraft type is deployed. The advanced capabilities of the aircraft's armament system allow for the use of new types of air-to-air weapons," noted a Su-57 pilot of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
in 2022. They also mentioned both short and medium ranges for new type AAMs. (R77M)
