Have been wondering for a while about the benefits of large continuous production of the Su34. Is it much cheaper than the Su35? I think they should develop a 2-seater Su35 and use that for ground attack instead, if you talk about survivability then the extra kinematic performance matches the armored cockpit of the Su34 and such.

Russian troops have received a new batch of Su-34 frontline fighter-bombers from the United Aircraft Corporation. Presumably, 2-4 aircraft have been transferred, this is the third batch this year. The Su-34 frontline fighter-bomber has proven itself to be the best in its class. The aircraft have undergone a full cycle of factory tests, have been tested in various operating modes and have already flown to their home airfield.

No, you really don't want to do that. Su-35 design is obsolete, newer designs like Su-57 are the future.

US satellites have observed activity at the Pankovo test site on the Barents Sea archipelago of Novaya Zemlya, including increases in personnel and equipment and ships and aircraft associated with earlier tests of the Burevestnik nuclear powered intercontinental cruise missile.

Lewis, Eveleth, and two arms control analysts said the missile's development has taken on more importance for Moscow since Trump announced in January the development of a U.S homeland missile defense shield.

The Su-34 is cheaper than the Su-35.
Plus the Su-34 has a reinforced airframe so it can take a larger payload.

There is the thought in Russia to have a specialized platform for air to surface attack role and precision munitions. One can argue tho that it's an old thinking. Regarding "2 seated Su-35" Well there is already Su-30SM2 and Su-30SM Which can perfectly doing both counter air and surface attack.

The other thing however is, since Su-34 is only made in Novosibirsk Aviation Plant (NAPO). It's to keep the plant and thus the City alive. Kinda like Omsk back in the day.

One might find it surprising that Sukhoi fighters aren't made in single plant. But that's good for wartime as you can have production capacity.

Single Seater Sukhois and to limited extent Su-30M's - KNAAPO in Komsomolsk on Amur
Double Seater Sukhois - IAPO in Irkutsk
Su-24 and Su-34 - NAPO in Novosibirsk
Su-25 - Gorkiy Aircraft Plant now TAM (Tbilisi Aircraft Manufacturing) in Georgia.

USC launched the fifth frigate of project 22350 "Admiral Amelko"

At the shipbuilding plant USC Northern Shipyard, a ceremony was held to launch the frigate "Admiral Amelko". This is the fifth ship being built at the shipyard for the Russian Navy under project 22350 by the Northern Design Bureau of USC.

"The corporation has now reached confident rates of serial construction of these ships. Such frigates are capable of performing a wide range of tasks in the distant sea and ocean zones, which significantly enhances the capabilities of the Russian Navy. And we assume that this series will continue in the coming years," noted USC General Director Andrey Puchkov.

The arsenal of project 22350 frigates allows for air defense of other ships, support of landing operations, strikes on various land and sea targets, and anti-submarine defense. In addition, the ship has a deck that can accommodate Ka-27 helicopters in various configurations.

"Admiral Amelko" is a multipurpose surface combat ship carrying high-precision long-range missile weapons, including hypersonic "Zircon" missiles. Three more project 22350 ships are under construction at the USC enterprise.

The frigate is named after the outstanding Soviet naval commander, admiral, and candidate of naval sciences Nikolay Amelko. The ship's sponsor is the wife of the admiral's grandson — Elena Amelko.

Su-34 is real bomber. three 3000L external tanks for loitering time and center point pod that no other fighter can lift. MIG-31BM and Su-57 can do similar work like Su-35.
there are some speculation about Su-34 upgrades recently

"The upgraded version of the Su-34M has double the combat capabilities of the original model and is also equipped with some weapons designed for the fifth-generation Su-57 fighter, primarily the K-77M air-to-air missile. This missile is equipped with a radar homing head with an AESA radar and a ramjet engine, which guarantees it excellent performance when firing at long distances. This increases the self-defense capabilities of the machine and allows it to do without special air cover."

In addition to increased self-defense capabilities and bombing missions, the Su-34M is equipped with an integrated electronic intelligence system M400A, which includes a station for collecting and analyzing intelligence data. The machine was integrated with special reconnaissance containers with a range of 300 kilometers, and a system designed to collect and analyze radio signals.

Its new reconnaissance system includes the Antrakt thermal imaging camera and the M433 Raduga infrared scanner, similar to the system used in the Russian Tu-214R reconnaissance aircraft. The reconnaissance version of the Utenok can now simultaneously perform the functions of electronic warfare and a "flying radar."

35 years since the first flight of the T-10V-1 fighter-bomber (in the Su-34 series). Crew of A.A. Ivanov (1990).

The "History of Domestic Aviation" section is published in the National Aviation Magazine "Wings of the Motherland" (the general information partner of the Academy of Aviation and Aeronautics Sciences) with the support of the Central Air Force Museum. The next meeting of the ANAiV Presidium, scheduled for September, will be held at the Central Air Force Museum in Monino.
I would like to believe that in the near future we will see serial modernized "Battle Drakes", which, in addition to the usual "bomber" set of avionics, will also have a search and targeting system, which is today known as the "Sea Serpent" and is installed on Indian anti-submarine aircraft Il-38SD, and in a modified version with reduced capabilities - on domestic Il-38N. And in addition to the search and targeting system, such a set of anti-ship and anti-submarine weapons will be installed, the details of which cannot be disclosed even today. Russia's security on land and sea borders largely depends on how quickly the Su-34 is modernized.
