I'm aware of it, but sending only those is something which both Russia's friends and enemies will take as noteworthy.
The funny thing about the whole tank thing is that nobody in Russia is talking about it.
Russian soldiers and Russian channels are the first to criticise and expose problems with the MoD.
Most of the channels, in fact, celebrated 1 month ago (why is peple surprised then in the West?) when it was announced that the parade would not have an air part and no tanks. These tanks are more useful elsewhere, 1 or 10, every tank, every crew, every maintenance team counts. On the front line or training new soldiers ...

The change is positive, because Russia cares about winning the war in a serious way, not about parades or tank biathlons.
In general, Russia cares little about what the outside world thinks.

For most of 2022 most OS"I"NT experts thought Russia had no AWACS because the Wikipedia article refering to Russian VKS said only 2 A-50 were in service ...
I read so many Twitter threads repeating this ..
unless its some news channel or official government conveying some message i wouldnt spend so much time on twitter.
I saw this Syrian parade on Arab news site. it include para drops. Its big event they did in foreign country. I am sure there alot more troops and choppers providing security that we cannot see. you cannot put so many people no matter how big and secure the airbase.
The quality of work this airbase proven including those aircraft hanger when it survive the earthquake and number of heavy lifter flights of C-17/IL-76/An-124 received for relief efforts.
I would think Moscow event weas shortened because Veterns and some of the foreign guests are getting older. Not easy to sit extended hours and its way too much work to do in city.

this war tho kinda made "lowers" my faith to lightly armored vehicle. I understand the Russian thinking of having heavy firepower in their BMD's so that VDV can scout ahead and give targets to the BMD's for engagement. Nonetheless the proliferations of ATGM's and drones kinda calls that something needs to be done in survivability department.

This is a quick review and summary of the vehicles used not only by the VDV, but also by the Marines and Mechanized forces. Not for the informed already but for those who aren't and want to get their feet wet.

ATGM will destroy or cripple a MBT anyway. Mobility and reducing IR aspect is probably the specs that need to be improved for scouting, not firepower.
