By just looking at the data?
You only need to visit the previous page to see why I felt like a response was warranted.
I'd have quoted the source if i was asked to (evidence also on the previous page), but getting replied with nothing but the source gets annoying after a while.
In the 90/00s they haven't bought practically anything.
The photo was linked to another tweet and i felt it was trivial to go through the entire thread just to find out who had compiled it as I was sure enough about the numbers.
Yes, they are having both financial and technical issues, they are intertwined of course, the lack of money leads to technical issues, the lack of saleable tech leads to money issues.... so they are working to get it together, selling a few F-35's doesn't hurt, but doesn't address the real issues..
The failure of the Su-57 deal with India is a symptom of an ongoing and deep seated cultural issues, when you need sufficient financing and market share for your aircraft, you've got to "trust" your partners, and you've got to be trustworthy...
The F-35 program continues to sell aircraft because there is honesty and trust among the partners.....when problems are discovered, they are revealed to all the partners and worked to a solution.
This is a deeply political post, and it is not based on observations / facts.
To mention "trust" and the "USA" in the same sentence laughable as a starter, considering the track record of the USA to step out from any previous agreement / obligation or anything else if anyone in the Capitol feel like it gives short term benefit for her/him.
This is the issue with the military service, makes the thinking of the person captured by the general impression of the military from inside, and the experience with the mates expanded to the whole government - without any justification .

Selling practically anything to India is a challenge in on itself, the ever shifting parameters. The bureaucratic red tape was well as the political infighting and intrigues makes it virtually impossible to get a solid deal.
To paraphrase it, whatever it is India wants, they wanted it yesterday and they wanted it to be much better then what they said.
