On Monday, NOvember 18, 2013, in Sevastopol, Black Sea Fleet Commander Vice -Admiral Alexander Vitko presided over a ceremony to mark the 100th anniversary of the launching of RFS Kommuna. The ship saw extensive duty repairing and salvaging ships in both the First and Second World Wars and was assigned to the Black Sea Fleet in 1967. With no plans to retire the veteran ship, Kommuna was mark her centennial in commission July 24, 2015.

This ship was launched in 1912 and has seen service in the Russian Imperial NAvy, the Soviet Navy, and now the Russian Federation Navy. She was the first double hull Russian vessel.

Well, the USS Constitution is still officially manned. The officers and crew are all active-duty US Navy personnel and the assignment is considered special duty in the U.S. Navy. Traditionally, command of the vessel is assigned to a Navy Commander. The USS Constitution is berthed at Pier 1 of the Charlestown Navy Ship Yard. They sail her out under her own power for special occasions, and she usually fires her cannons. She was put into service in 1797 and is still commissioned and in operation today. That's 216 years.

But, clearly she is not performing actual, present-day naval tasks like the RFS Kommuna is.

So, is the Kommuna the oldest operating Naval ship? No.

Is she the oldest one actually still doing what she was designed and built to do (ie. salvage other vessels)? Yes.

If you look closely closely at the T-50-5 LEVCON, there appears to be a radiation warning similar to the nose. Any suggestions?

It pains me to say this but PAKFA's radar arrangement is what Raptors should have been a nose mounted unit with side mounted secondary and rearward unit. Those marking are probably the Russian side scan.

Some Oscar II class nice view or we can clearly see its impressive size, especially its width, the largest submarine except SSBN.

Originally US aircraft carriers killer with her 24 SS-N-19, the attack of a carrier group would have been the launch of a very big attack, about 100 missiles with also SS-N-3/12 use by Kirov, Slava etc ... designed to saturate the defenses and AEGIS system was created for counter an attack of this kind.

Smolensk at Zvezdochka shipyard, Severodvinsk where is also Sevmash which are build many nuclear submarines, the largest manufacturer, Typhoon, Oscar, Yasen etc... Zvezdochka no build actually only maintains, RCOH.
