How on earth any military would allow crews to take selfie like this? Here are pictured from inside the Russian carrier... no wonder it's not working properly and it was supposedly repaired/modernized in 2010.

Several aircraft will be introduced into the fleet in 2017.
Fighter crews have passed training course in the Combat training center of the naval aviation in Yeysk.
In the nearest future, the pilots will assist their colleagues in operating the aircraft at the airfields.
IT happens! flying off the boat is inherently dangerous, and without a report on the aircraft troubles, I would remind you it could be a simple case of "fuel exhaustion". Pilots fine, and ready to jump back into the combat rotation.
So the pilots need better training.
2th Navy Rgt to receive based to Chernyakhovsk ( Kaliningrad ) 4th Rgt replace Su-24M

F-14 look Middle East thread i have catch two !Yes Sir, they need to fly lots and lots more, the USN drills, and drills, and when your sick to death of drills, they drill you some more! Landing those 4th gen birds on the carrier is a trip, and the SU-33 is a very heavy aircraft, much like our old F-14, and it is harder on arresting gear. If indeed the pilot was out of the operating envelope, that places much greater stress on one side as opposed to the other, if indeed his angle was to acute??? it will cause equipment failure, those cables are designed to "pay out" symmetrically.
Russian Navy Orders Another Seven Project 12700 Alexandrit-class MCM Vessels
The Russian Navy signed a contract for the construction of another seven fiberglass mine sweepers of project 12700 (code Alexandrit), Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Korolev said
We have finally planned and already contracted seven warships of the project and in future we plan to order over 40 minesweepers," he said.
The ships of project 12700 Alexandrite are a new generation of mine sweepers. The fiberglass hull considerably decreases the weight and extends the life cycle. The warships can fight mines with various flails, tele-guided and autonomous unmanned underwater craft.
The Sredne-Nevsky Shipyard in St. Petersburg signed a contract with the defense ministry in 2014 for the construction of the first three sweepers of the project. They are to be handed over to the Navy in 2016-2018. Today the lead Alexander Obukhov joined the Navy. The second Georgy Kurbatov sweeper of the series had its keel laid in the spring of 2015. The laying of the keel of the third warship is scheduled in the spring of 2017.
