'Black Hole' in Action: Novorossiysk Submarine to Hold Drills in Black Sea
Varshavyanka-class diesel-electric submarines feature advanced stealth technology, extended combat range and the ability to strike at land, surface and underwater targets. They have been dubbed "black holes in the ocean" by the US Navy because they are virtually undetectable when submerged.

ROSTOV-ON-DON (Sputnik) — A new Russian Varshavyanka-class Novorossiysk submarine will hold a four-day military exercise in the Black Sea, a source in Russia's Southern Military District told RIA Novosti on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Novorossiysk, the first new Russian Black Sea Fleet submarine in the post-Soviet Russian history, passed the Turkish Straits and arrived to its permanent deployment in the Black Sea.

"The navigation in the Black Sea is completely different. Besides, the Black Sea basin has peculiarities associated with hydrogen's occurrence," the source said, adding that one of the drills involves the submarine crew's adaptation to their new environment.

According to the source, the crew of the submarine will practice tracking underwater ships at various distances.

"After completing the training missions the submarine will arrive in Novorossiysk — its stationing site — on September 21," the source pointed out.

In July, Navy Commander Adm. Viktor Chirkov said that Russia will add six diesel-electric submarines to its Black Sea Fleet by the end of 2016. One more submarine besides Novorossiysk — Rostov-on-Don — is expected to arrive to its place of permanent deployment in December 2015.

I think its literally a commercial product. Maybe Yamaha Suzuki or Polaris RZR.
The camo looks like a hunter pattern perhaps real tree. Need to study it more but I am betting a commercial buy. Cheap light weight small enough to fit in a Hip without needing to be slung faster then walking. Seems a perfect example of a commercial product that is easily accessible to the military market especially Amphibious and Airborne.

Russia develops directed-energy weapons
Laser, acoustic, holographic and kinetic systems are among them, these are lasers designed not to destroy objects but to ‘blind’ them because the latter requires far less energy

MOSCOW, September 16. /TASS/. Work in under way in Russia on directed-energy weapons, a source in Russia’s defense industry told TASS on Wednesday.

Asked by TASS to comment on a message from the DSEi 2015 international show in London to the effect that the Royal Navy intends to adopt lasers for service by 2020, the Russian defense industry source said: "Russian engineers developing weapons reliant on new physical principles are aware of the foreign efforts in the directed-energy weapons field".

Of the basic types of the above weapons, he singled out laser, acoustic, holographic and kinetic systems. "First off, these are lasers designed not to destroy objects but to ‘blind’ them because the latter requires far less energy," he added.

In his words, blinding and immobilizing surface or submerged targets makes their destruction easier. However, the power plants of ships will have to be changed and their power will have to be redistributed in favor of the future weapons for directed-energy weapons to be installed on future ships.

"Another type of advanced weapons involves kinetic weapons — electromagnetic guns that dissolve a target by means of high kinetic energy, rather than punch through it," the expert clarified.

According to the source, acoustic weapons will be effective against surveillance systems. There are also holographic weapons, the source said without going into detail on their purpose.

Royal Navy Adm. George Zambellas said at DSEi 2015 in London: "Energy weapons don’t require conventional ammunition. With a cost-per-shot potentially measured in pence rather than pounds, they offer a route to address the spiralling costs of missile development and production, as well as reducing supply chain demands."

"The Royal Navy plans to demonstrate a directed energy weapon at sea by the end of the decade," Adm. Zambellas said.

The admiral added that the British Armed Services hoped for getting weapons not just to blind the enemy or render its electronics inefficient but able to destroy fast targets, too.

Can-am is owned by Bombardier Recreational Products a Canadian Firm. Like I said it's not that specialized a product available to hunters and Farmers

SSBN TK-208 Dmitri Donskoi (Project 941)

Disinformation: the Israeli website DEBKAfile disseminated information according to which Russia would have sent the SSBN TK-208 Dmitri Donskoi (Project 941) in the Mediterranean with 20 ballistic missiles Bulava carrying "about 200 nuclear warheads, and must reach the Syrian coast the week September 14 "to help maintain the Damascus regime.

This information is erroneous for several reasons.

The TK-208 joined the naval base in Severodvinsk (White Sea) last Thursday, September 10, and therefore can not reach the Syrian coast the week of September 14.

Then, the Russian navy has great difficulty in equipping all its new SSBN Project 955 with Bulava ; K-551 Vladimir Monomakh has seen his transfer to the Pacific Fleet postponed to 2016 due to lack of missiles available.

On the other hand, the activity area of the TK-208 is usually restricted to the polar region. Finally, the Bulava can carry 1/6 warheads (mirv), which, up to 20 missiles would make 120 nuclear warheads, not 200.

This "mistake" actually speaks volumes about the annoyance that can arise among some Israelis and the Turks, who relay the information, the Russian military activity in their immediate vicinity. (NOSINT, Today's Zaman).

*Only Kilo with a pump jet

Novorossiysk as new Kilo 636M to be armed with the new LACM SS-N-30/3M-14S Club S* conventionnal version have a range of 1300/1600 km announced/would, 2600/3000 for nuclear variant exist ? ofc nuclear warhead is more small then more place for fuel and missile get a more long range.
This missiles is also for Severodvinsk class.

*
These include various modifications of the 3M14 missile (such as 3M14S, where "S" apparently stands for "strategic", meaning long-range and possibly nuclear). While the 3M14 we have seen is a 6-meter missile, there are 8-meter long modifications as well, which would take us to the SS-N-21 and SSC-X-4 territory
