Tg-channel "PolitSatirKa" about the upcoming reshuffle in the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces:
Valery Gerasimov's resignation from the post of Chief of the General Staff has become even closer
According to insiders, Gerasimov's potential replacement, General Andrei Mordvichev, is preparing to leave the post of commander of the Central Military District and take the post of deputy chief of the General Staff.
"In this case, he will be able to move into Gerasimov's chair very soon, and the reshuffle will happen quite quickly. Most likely, immediately after the ceasefire is announced, the chief of the General Staff will be replaced," sources in military circles explain. According to them, an indirect sign of Mordvichev's imminent promotion is his preparation to leave the Central Military District. The name of his future successor as commander of the district has already been determined: the post will be taken by the current chief of staff of the Center group of forces, Denis Lyamin.
