As part of the military exercises "Ocean-2024", footage of the launch of Russian cruise missiles "Kalibr" by the frigate "Admiral Golovko" of Project 22350 of the Northern Fleet of Russia was published. The flight range of the missiles "Kalibr", depending on the modification, is from 300 to 2500 km, it is worth noting that the data on them varies. Work is currently underway on the missiles "Kalibr-M", which will have a flight range of 4500 km and will be able to overcome missile defense and electronic warfare zones. The ship complex of the frigate "Admiral Golovko" can have up to 16 missiles "Kalibr".

Another batch of Su-57's has been delivered.
This news article has the actual video those pictures were taken out from.

It shows they are continuing to deliver the regular Su-57. Not the Su-57M as they were supposed to starting this year.

Disappointing but it is still better than ordering more Su-35 aircraft.

I think it would be better more Su-35 than Su-30's at this point, though
The Su-57 and Su-35 are built at the same factory and building. If you produce more of one you have less space for the other.
The Su-30 is built at completely different facilities.

I agree that they need to replace the Su-30 with something else. Sukhoi is supposedly working on a twin-seat version of the Su-57. I would not be surprised to see them test it this decade.

Funny, isn't India's insistence on a 2 seat PAK-FA one of the reasons that they dropped out?

The Indians were not interested in paying into the research phase of the aircraft. They wanted to buy an already finished product.

They wanted the AESA radar and the AL-51 engine. They were pissed when the initial prototypes had neither. While the AESA radar is present in the serial produced aircraft there is still no AL-51.

The South Korean KF-21 and the Turkish Kaan do not have 5th generation engines either however.

UAC delivered a batch of Su-57 and Su-35S aircraft to the troops

UAC delivered a batch of Su-57 and Su-35S aircraft to the troops

The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) has delivered a batch of new Su-57 and Su-35S aircraft to the Russian Aerospace Forces.

The fifth-generation fighters were accepted by the technical staff, passed a full cycle of factory tests, and were tested in various operating modes by pilots of the Russian Ministry of Defense. The aircraft flew to their home airfield.

"The machines transferred to the troops are distinguished by high flight and technical characteristics, which have been duly appreciated by our pilots. The Su-57s of the next batches are at various stages of readiness. The Su-35S aircraft are also at a high stage of readiness," said Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy Director General of the Rostec State Corporation.

Today, the UAC enterprise where fighters are manufactured is undergoing production upgrades. As part of the implementation of promising technical re-equipment projects, construction and installation work has been completed at new facilities of the flight test station. To expand serial production of the Su-57, construction of an additional building has begun, where the fifth-generation aircraft systems will be tested.

"The number of fifth-generation fighters entering the Russian Aerospace Forces is increasing every year. Today, the advanced fifth-generation Su-57 aircraft complex is the most modern frontline aviation aircraft in Russia," said UAC CEO Yuri Slyusar.

Investing is, it is only the first (known) Su-57 batch delivered in 2024 and it comprised only 3 Su-57!
Not really an increase in production rate or even a double in comparison to 2023?!

They were supposed to start delivering the Su-57M with AL-51 this year. Instead we get these delayed deliveries in the old configuration. So something must have happened.

UEC Saturn, designer and maker of AL-51, has multiple ongoing engine projects right now. They got the contract for the marine gas turbines the M90FR, they got to build the GTD-110M power generation turbine, and then there is the PD-8 engine development. It would not be surprising if some schedule slipped up.

Rumors claim AL-51 has entered serial production. We will see if this is true or not. I also have heard nothing about the Su-57M passing its state trials despite entering the testing stage two years ago.

KRET is busy with the MC-21 and SSJ airliners so it would not be surprising if there were delays in them delivering the Su-57M electronics either. They design and produce the cockpit for all these aircraft.

The Russian government has been splurging money on UEC Saturn and KRET because of the expected new work however. Several new facilities have already been built. In the long term these companies production will benefit.
