Report-russia has bombed Tiblisi and their two major port citys destroying the ports.
fighting is becoming intense. Heavy fighting in northern ossetia capital and reports of fighting pushing towards city center. Geogia continues accurate and sustained arty/MLRS fire.
Sounds as If Georgia is bringing russia into urban areas to engage with special forces,snipers and ATGW. More Georgian tanks reported pushing into ossetia. Tank battles reported. REPORT-Georgia has more thermal imaging and TIS on their tanks. Russia is using older T-80 with IR lights. Georgia has the advantage at night

Yes, this is a defining moment for Russia and NATO/USA fight for power.
Lets see how Russia will react to this
USA/NATO/Georgia ultimatum to bend to the Atlantic Superpower.
This is a take or break now that USA has given Russia an ultimatum.
Lets see how it will develop.
I already said my opinion, lets see how this final combat to defeat Russia power status turns out.

Until now, i don´t see any military reaction from NATO, and that confirm my thinking that they are wise enough to not get involved, militarily, in this war.
Yes i said it wrong, Georgia attacked South Ossetia, Russia is deffending South Ossetia.
Europe don´t recognise Serbia territorial integrity and, by that, attacked Serbia.
Russia don´t recognise, any more, the territorial integrity of Georgia (satisfied with that correction).
Lets see if Georgia or NATO can stop Russia now.

BBC is reporting that Porti and another base in western Georgia (as per Utelore's earlier post) have been bombed and that a Russian column is advancing deep into Georgia. Georgian officials have also told the BBC that air raids on Tblisi itself are expected soon (Utelore's post notes that this has already occurred). At the moment Abkhazia is quiet; the Russian force that is believed to be either approaching or entering Abkhazia may seek to take Porti (amongst other objectives) if it enters Georgia proper.

Yep this is definitely escalated, something i hoped wouldnt happen. Georgia didnt need to flame the situation like they did and still is doing; what did they think was going to happen? Russia just lay down and let them take back Sth Ossetia??
They have played with fire, then poured petrol on top of it....and it looks like they probably will get burnt.

Russia may launch airborne operations south of Tbilisi via Armenia by seizing airfields with GRU/spetsnaz. OBJECTIVE-Topple current Georgian government. OIL STORAGE AT PORT DESTROYED LEAKING INTO BLACK SEA.
2 Georgian reserve battalions(1,400 men) moving to re-enforce abkaz AO from russian attack which will put 5,400 Georgian troops in Abkaz AO. Russian forces stalled in ossetian capital. heavy losses on both sides in capital. Massive reserve call-up by Georgia. 20,000 Army and volunteers reporting over past 24-hrs with some of these already moving towards front.

Report- 27 russian dead and 150+ wounded in the first hours of fighting in ossetian capital.
report- Many Georgian wounded dead-2 dozen coming into hospital
Report-Oil shipment/storage facility completely destroyed by 3 SU-24 dropping cluster/FAE bombs.
reports of other Oil supply being hit. Russia appears to be trying to bleed them of petrochemicals. good tactic for a beginning campaign.
5 russian planes downed. combat support cancelled and flying above 10,000 feet attacking fixed targets.
