I just realized Brett Adcock runs Figure. The same guys who never got Archer Aviation off the ground or even flying permits.

Opened my eyes a little bit. The US definitely still has a few cards left to play, and at least one more hype cycle to ride.
These fundamental forces – Western reshoring and China's demographic crisis – create unstoppable momentum for robotics deployment.
The reshoring labor crisis is actually perfectly solvable by tons and tons of humanoids. Import a few Chinese technicians and have the major staff be robots.

Elon said the $20k humanoid won't work out unless selling 1m+ units per year. That's completely doable, a ROBOTS Act from daddy Trump, $50b would be easily 2.5m+ units. Not to mention all the trillions from the desperate hype investors YOLOing into the next big tech gimmick. He'll automate all his Tesla factories first, the TSMC Arizona factory, then progress to the rest of the US.

2.5m+ units could absolutely reindustrialize the US if they were properly distributed. Elon would only be able to build this amount through Chinese suppliers, so the MAGA plan would require Xi's blessing and maybe a Chinese kill switch.

At present, robot technology may not be able to replace cheap workers in labor-intensive industries. I recently traveled to Nankang, the hometown of my parents. As a fifth tier city in China, the nearby furniture factories are all equipped with large robots with a high degree of automation. Workers usually only need to use forklifts to load the goods onto transport vehicles. But there are also a few electronics factories that still recruit cheap labor, commonly known as "screwing screws". Another interesting point is that this electronics factory has also established a small private school next to the factory, which specializes in admitting impoverished or academically poor children from nearby areas. After graduating from school, these students will directly go to work at the electronics factory.

Yuejiang Technology released the world's first "dexterous operation + straight knee walking" embodied intelligent humanoid robot.
It can achieve cross-scene and multi-unit collaboration to perform complex operation generalization tasks. The robot, named Dobot Atom, is a full-size bionic humanoid robot for industrial-grade fine operation, equipped with self-developed neural-driven dexterous operating system NDS and human-like straight knee walking system AWS, leading the in-depth implementation of embodied intelligent technology in multiple scenarios such as industry and services.

nice, I'm a big fan of Dobot. They make really got robotic arms.
