Since we're on topic regarding @Gatekeeper return, may you indulge me on my request , that of @foofy. He contributed a lot in semiconductor thread and I think he may add more IF he return.

Let's focus on @Gatekeeper's case first and try not to muddle the issue with others.

Reinstatement of a banded member should be a rare occasion rather that a regular occurrence. We should formalize the process like what we do here - setting up a dedicated thread with voting. May be we should even set a standard like at least 50 forum members have to vote YES and the number should represents 80% (super majority) of all member voted etc.

I think Gatekeeper has to come and ask/apologize to get reinstated. I believe some other memebers have sucessfully done that in the past. It would be odd for the mods to reach out to him since he was the one with sporadic outbursts and it would prob be against it's privacy policy to start posting members contacts.

What I find most perverse about these permabans is that people with integrity, like Gatekeeper, will respect the ban, while others (you know who) will keep making endless alt accounts until the mods give up on banning them.

Don't get me wrong though, the endless alts definitely deserve permaban!

Haha speak of the devil, someone who likes to make alt accounts suddenly showed up today. You all know who I’m referring to.
