Oh an thanks to the Lord, my water in my pipes remains "fluid", the HoneyBadger and I spent the night in the living room on our couches, we do share a bed, but we've been married long enuf that we no longer "snuggle up" on the couch, lol!

Global warming..my butt!....

We have no trouble with our pipes or car starting.

We are having a heat wave on Thursday.. it will be 23F(-5C)..whoopie! Not!

in case anyone think global warming means everyone gets real hot, might be a good time to rent the movie "the day after tomorrow" while waiting out the snow. stay warm.

global warming aka global climate change is supposed to be the shift in the planet's overall temperature a few degrees higher, however the science behind this has been in question as the projected temperature changes that should have taken place in the last 15 years have not. The secondary effects of global climate change are supposed to be super storms or more storms yet if you look at the data there is no evidence of that either.
everything seems to say that we still don't know jack about our planet.
there seems to be some unknown mechanism at work, perhaps the fact that the projected solar maximum that should have just happened with huge solar flares turned out to be a dud might have a effect we just don't get.

Actually Chief, its a POLAR VORTEX, caused my internet to "crash" yesterday, I thin k all that "spinning" the media does got the wires all twisted up, kinda like what happens in the Johnny when you pull down on the "chrome"! That's what caused the AKADEMIC SKOLASTIC, and the SNOWY DRAGON to get stuck in that Global Pack Ice, that Polar Vortex "sucked em right in"????? scary stuff, wonder when the movies coming out??????

Quick TUP do that boiling water thing that I asked you to do last time! I bet it's cold enough to turn it into ice and snow in an instant before it touches the ground.

Let me know if you guys can view the video properly. I'm not sure if the water actually froze when it hit the ground, but it was pretty cool with the steam and all. It is currently -23 degrees C, and -37 with windchill. I think for the water to actually freeze fast enough I'd have to toss it when there's a strong gust blowing across.

@AFB: Yes the "feels like" temperature is not a real temperature, but the windchill effect is very real. It's like running a passive heat sink consists of fins only vs an active heat sink with both fins and fans. The difference in temperature is actually very noticeable. So imo it's a good thing that they include the "feels like" temperature, so that you can get a proper reference of how cold it could actually get so that you are better prepared. The problem arises when they ONLY tell you the "feels like" temperature without saying that it's with windchill, like most of the time when these things go on news headlines, and makes it as if it is the real temperature. Of course, most proper weather sites would tell you everything
