Ever thought of buying a business? Perhaps a struggling newspaper... As you know, all viewpoints need to be catered for and if can fill that niche you've got the beginnings of a successful business
Not really. Truth be told, I think this shitty island is beyond saving. And I don't particularly care for it either, because even though I was born here I identify as Chinese, not Sinkie. Simply put, I don't give a fuck about this place.

My sole purpose here is to flex my daddy's wealth and make sinkies feel like complete shit about their peasant status.

In the longer-term, the attitudes of the younger generation in Singapore will shift to China as China develops.
But realistically, you're still looking at another 10 years for that to be apparent.

However, if you speak with the older generation or older professionals, I think they have a more mature view of China.
Plus they are more heavily influenced by Lee Kuan Yew's thoughts on China, which is that one day, China will inevitably displace the US economically and militarily as the pre-eminent power in SE Asia. And that implies Singapore shifting from a pro-West to a pro-China stance as a matter of self-interest.

No, I will not be happy until China permanently stations one Type 005 aircraft carrier in Singapore.

Lol my great-grandfather owned a rubber plantation and rubber factory in Singapore but Lee Kuan Yew confiscated them for land redistribution and to build public housing for the peasants.

After confiscating the plantation, the government suggested my grandparents move into the built public housing, but they were like: you got to be kidding me right? That's got to be the most embarassing thing ever.

@dengyeye you are 典型 Fuerdai.
