Is it something like this? Is discrimination that bad on where you live? That's something that legit worries me about my sister sometimes. I know overall the odds are low but it's terrifying to think about sometimes given we don't look "American".
I'm out in Virginia. I personally haven't seen anyone assaulted but I've been threatened with violence out in public, usually preceded by something about the "China virus" or "Asians need to go back where they came from". Any attempt to confront people just makes them angrier. It's been less of an issue lately but that's because I usually keep myself on base for work/exercise/shopping and my apartment the rest of the time.Is it something like this? Team Blue, are you based in Northern VA? Northern VA is pretty diverse and has not seen anything violence like NYC or out the west coast. I think last month, there was a string of robberies of Asian own restaurants after they were closed.I'm out in Virginia. On base is better overall but there're still the stupid "jokes" about eating cats or weird genitals. Nothing violent but it still sucks to deal with.

And now I'm hearing rumblings that I'll be going back to Hawaii, which sucks. I'm hoping I can still swing Monterey to be near family but that's a long shot.
