Rafale, an ideal aircraft for PLA carrier aircraft

I reckon that a secret technology transfer along with some engineers should go to China and apply the Rafale technology into the J-10/J-11 or even secretly help them in cooperation in designing a new aircraft. This may sound wild but it would be more successful in conceiling it than purchasing Rafale which would bring alot of media attention and which the US could see plainly how a Rafale ended up on a Chinese carrier. But if Rafale technology was inserted into the PLAAF planes it wouldn't be as obvious and the US cannot specifically finger point.

But if the US found out, there would be a huge scandal in both the French and international media, not to mention the political ramifications. If the US would object to open co-operation, think what it would do if Paris went behind its back.

Besides, with Chirac going out the door, who is going to authorise this deal? Sarkozy? Royal?

It is speculated that the French either gave tacit approval or even clandestinely assisted the Chinese in reverse-engineering the Crotale missile a while back. The French have also in the past gave nations assistance with aircraft that they publicly had a arms embargo on, such as the case with the Israelis and their unlicensed construction of a variant of the Mirage 5, the IAI Kfir in the 1970's. It is speculated that Dassault Aviation gave tacit assistance by handing off some of plans to Mossad.
