Oh yeah nevermind, you're right and i was wrong. I was looking at the picture in my phone and the low res images didn't help either. lol. What makes you think that?
The configuration of the upper and lower and the pins isn't identical to the AR, but it should open up similarly, given the positioning of the forward pin on the 191.
The positioning of the pins on 191 and receiver configuration is probably closest to QBZ03, with the AR15 style buffer tube and stock.
I.e.: the upper receiver (light blue) and lower receiver (green) have two push pins with their holes visible, one immediately in front of the magazine well and one immediately above where the buffer tube/stock joins the receiver.
I'm not sure what part of this resembles the G3 over the AR15.

now that i see it more clearly, you're definitely correct. i thought at first that the takedown pin hole was directly connected to the yellowed parts which is the buffer assembly so when you took the pin out the buffer and stock assembly can be taken off.
From the looks of it, The upper does seems like it can be hinged open from the front pivot pin and then you can take the bolt carrier group out, similar to an AR15.
Is there any images of it being field stripped?
The lowers receiver seems to be made from polymer, because the firing control group has a housing. that or the reason was so it could be easily disassembled for cleaning.
