More likely to be just a production/serial sticker of some kind. Probably fairly fresh from the factory.

I think they might be name or numbered tags so soldiers know which gun in the safe belongs to whom. Just my speculation.
I believe these people where doing a photopose instead of a real drill.
Hence why they haven't designation stats sticker.

It was meant as part joke. Though the format of orange/red top and white strikes me more as a warning sticker.
It’s possible it could be an information plate. US issued carbines today have a QR code stickers into the receiver next to the magazine well. These have serial number,
Cage code, part numbers.
