Interestingly the J-11Bs in the parade still seems to be the AL-31F-equipped version (Block I), which are the same J-11Bs that participated in the 2009 parade.
Not that interesting; they're of 1st division, and are the first regiment equipped with J-11Bs, so the fact that they're participating probably says a bit more about the actual status (and possibly location) of the regiment.
I strongly doubt their participation has anything to do with the engines aboard the aircraft themselves if that is the suggestion
